Languages
I have always loved learning new languages. I am an extrovert and it’s so meaningful for me to be able to communicate with as many people as possible. I speak English, Mandarin, Spanish, French, and Greek. I started speaking Mandarin in 1st grade because of an immersion program I did in elementary school and I have continued to study the language. I also started speaking Spanish and Greek at a young age because of my Cuban and Greek heritage — I love understanding where I come from through language. I started speaking French during Freshman year.
Classics Department Scholarship
I earned this scholarship through my interview, grades, and knowledge of Greek myth and culture, as well as my fluency in modern Greek.
