Play It Again Soccer

PLAY IT AGAIN SOCCER is a charity that collects gently used cleats for distribution to young soccer players globally. I grew up going to Greece every summer to see family. Ever since I was little, I have loved playing soccer. In my trips to Greece, I realized that kids did not have proper equipment to play. I started bringing equipment from home to give to the kids I met in Greece. Over time the program expanded and I started involving soccer clubs and my friends from home. Eventually I appointed “team captains” from around the world who also help collect equipment in Serbia, Brazil, and Mozambique, and Germany. You can learn more about it here!

DEI Committee Tri Delta

I was elected by a board to oversee DEI efforts in our Tri Delta Chapter. As one of the only Latinx and Queer members o fmy chapter, I work to make members and prospective members that belong to marginalized communities feel more at home. I help curate presentations and guest speakers to broaden our chapters’ mindset on Diversity and Inclusion. I was also elected as part of Tri Delta’s Membersip Selection committee. After being accepted and involved in the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee, my pledge as an Officer in a Recruitment position is to push our chapter to be a more inclusive space. Is being the only openly queer member of our chapter, and one of nine Latinx members I pledge to make my home chapter of Tri Delta an inclusive space. I organise primary recruitment, informal recruitment, and the selection process.

Young Champion Ambassador Leadership Program

The Olympics has always been an inspiration for me as a Greek American, an athlete, and a leader. In my spare time when I am not playing sports, I love to read and learn languages. Currently I can speak French, Spanish, Mandarin, English, I also have received my seal of Biliteracy in Greek. Sports and Language and Culture hold a very special place in my heart, making being apart of YCA a great honor. Below you can see photos from my visit to the Olympics Museum in Athens!
